SCHOOL

A strong education system is the foundation of a strong nation. My vision is to build an education system in Haiti that gives every child—no matter where they are born—a fair chance to learn, grow, and succeed. Education must become a national priority, not an afterthought.

My Plan for Haiti’s Education System

1. Universal Access to Quality Education
Every child deserves a seat in a safe, well‑equipped classroom. We will work to ensure that schools across Haiti—urban and rural—have trained teachers, proper materials, and the resources needed to support learning. No child should be denied an education because of poverty, distance, or insecurity.

2. Modernize Schools and Learning Environments
We will rebuild and modernize school buildings, create clean and safe learning spaces, and introduce technology where possible. A modern Haiti requires modern classrooms that prepare students for the world they will inherit.

3. Strengthen Teacher Training and Support
Teachers are the backbone of the education system. We will invest in teacher training programs, continuous professional development, and fair compensation. When teachers are supported, students succeed.

4. Expand Vocational and Technical Education
Not every student will follow the same path—and that is a strength. We will expand vocational schools and technical training programs so young people can learn trades, develop practical skills, and enter the workforce with confidence. This will help reduce unemployment and build a skilled national workforce.

5. Make Education Relevant to Haiti’s Future
Curriculum reform is essential. Students must learn not only reading and math, but also agriculture, technology, entrepreneurship, civic responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Education should prepare young Haitians to solve Haiti’s challenges and seize Haiti’s opportunities.

6. Ensure School Safety and Child Protection
Children cannot learn in fear. We will work to secure school zones, protect students from violence, and ensure that every child can attend school safely. Education must be a place of dignity, stability, and hope.

7. Partner with Families and Communities
Parents and communities are essential partners in education. We will strengthen school‑community relationships, encourage parental involvement, and ensure that families have a voice in shaping their children’s future.

8. Build Accountability and Transparency
Every investment in education must be tracked, measured, and reported. We will create transparent systems to ensure that resources reach schools and that progress is visible to the Haitian people.
