My Vision for a National Broadband Internet System in Haiti
A connected nation is an empowered nation. My vision is to build a modern, reliable, and affordable broadband internet system that reaches every corner of Haiti—from the largest cities to the most remote rural communities. In today’s world, internet access is not a luxury; it is a foundation for education, economic growth, public safety, and national development.

01
Build a National Broadband Backbone
Haiti must invest in a strong digital infrastructure that links all regions through fiber‑optic networks, satellite support, and secure communication systems. This backbone will serve as the foundation for schools, hospitals, businesses, and government services.
02
Expand Access to Rural and Underserved Areas
Too many communities in Haiti remain disconnected. We will work with local partners and international experts to bring high‑speed internet to rural areas, ensuring that every Haitian—no matter where they live—has access to information, opportunity, and digital tools.

03
Strengthen Education Through Connectivity
Broadband internet will allow students to access online learning, digital libraries, and global knowledge. Teachers will gain new tools, and schools will be able to modernize their curriculum. A connected classroom is a stronger classroom.
04
Support Businesses and Job Creation
Reliable internet will help entrepreneurs grow, attract investment, and open new markets. It will allow young people to participate in the global digital economy, create online businesses, and develop skills that lead to long‑term employment.

05
Improve Healthcare and Public Services
With broadband access, hospitals and clinics can use telemedicine, digital records, and remote diagnostics. Government services can become more transparent, efficient, and accessible to the public.
06
Strengthen National Security and Emergency Response
A modern communication network will help Haiti respond to natural disasters, coordinate emergency services, and improve public safety. Connectivity saves lives.

07
Ensure Transparency, Affordability, and Public Trust
Every step of this initiative will be guided by transparency and accountability. Broadband must be affordable, reliable, and managed in a way that serves the public interest—not private monopolies.
